Both the Luce and RZ have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Luce has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The RZ’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The Luce has a standard front seat center airbag, which deploys between the driver and front passenger, protecting them from injuries caused by striking each other in serious side impacts. The RZ doesn’t offer front seat center airbags.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Luce. But it costs extra on the RZ.

The Ferrari Luce’s 360 degree parking monitor is equipped with washers for its front and rear cameras, ensuring crystal-clear visibility in any weather condition. Conversely, the Lexus RZ only offers a rear camera washer, which may not provide the same level of all-weather performance.

The Luce comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The RZ’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Luce for 6 years and unlimited miles longer than Lexus pays for maintenance for the RZ (7/unlimited vs. 1/10,000).

The Luce’s electric motors produces 814 more horsepower (1035 vs. 221) and 532 lbs.-ft. more torque (730 vs. 198) than the RZ 350e’s standard electric motor. The Luce’s electric motors produces 727 more horsepower (1035 vs. 308) and 409 lbs.-ft. more torque (730 vs. 321) than the RZ 450e’s standard electric motors. The Luce’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The RZ doesn’t offer launch control.

The Luce has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The RZ doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Luce has larger tires than the RZ (F:265/35R23 & R:315/30R24 vs. F:235/60R18 & R:255/55R18).

The Luce’s 265/35R23 front and 315/30R24 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the RZ’s standard 60 series front and 55 series rear tires. The Luce’s tires are lower profile than the RZ’s optional 50 series front and 45 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Luce has standard 23-inch front and 24-inch rear wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the RZ. The RZ’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires optional on the Luce can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The RZ doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Luce offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Lexus doesn’t offer an active suspension on the RZ.

The Luce has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The RZ’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Luce’s wheelbase is 4.4 inches longer than on the RZ (116.6 inches vs. 112.2 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Luce is 3.3 inches wider in the front and 2.1 inches wider in the rear than on the RZ.

The design of the Ferrari Luce amounts to more than styling. The Luce has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .254 Cd. That is lower than the RZ (.28 to .29) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Luce get better fuel mileage.

Pressing a button automatically lowers or raises the Luce’s rear seats, to make changing between cargo and passengers easier. The RZ doesn’t offer automatic folding seats.

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Luce. The RZ doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the RZ, the Luce has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

Heated windshield washer fluid is standard on the Luce to defrost the washer nozzles and quickly clear ice and frost from the windshield without scraping. The RZ doesn’t offer heated windshield washer fluid.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Luce has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The RZ doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Luce also has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The Ferrari Luce has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the RZ Premium/Luxury/F Sport.

The Luce has standard front air conditioned seats and offers them optionally in the rear. This keeps the passengers comfortable and takes the sting out of hot seats in summer. The RZ doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Luce offers optional massaging front and rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the RZ.
