The Luce has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The i7 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Luce has larger tires than the i7 (F:265/35R23 & R:315/30R24 vs. 245/50R19). The Luce’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the i7 (F:265/35R23 & R:315/30R24 vs. F:255/45R20 & R:285/40R20).

The Luce’s 265/35R23 front and 315/30R24 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the i7’s standard 50 series tires. The Luce’s tires are lower profile than the i7’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Luce has standard 23-inch front and 24-inch rear wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the i7. The i7’s largest wheels are only 21-inches.
