To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the F80. But it costs extra on the 911.
Both the F80 and the 911 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras and driver alert monitors.
The F80 comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The 911’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the F80 for 6 years and unlimited miles longer than Porsche pays for maintenance for the 911 (7/unlimited vs. 1/10,000).
The F80’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 796 more horsepower (1184 vs. 388) than the 911’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The F80’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 711 more horsepower (1184 vs. 473) than the 911 S’ standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The F80’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 682 more horsepower (1184 vs. 502) than the 911 GT3’s standard 4.0 DOHC 6-cylinder. The F80’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 483 more horsepower (1184 vs. 701) than the 911 Turbo S’ standard 3.6 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid.
In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari F80 higher (5 out of 10) than the Porsche 911 (4 to 5). This means the F80 produces up to 5.2 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the 911 every 15,000 miles.

For better traction, the F80 has larger tires than the 911 (F:285/30R20 & R:345/30R21 vs. F:235/40R19 & R:295/35R20). The F80’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the 911 (F:285/30R20 & R:345/30R21 vs. F:255/35R20 & R:325/30R21).
The F80’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 911’s standard 40 series front and 35 series rear tires. The F80’s tires are lower profile than the 911’s optional 35 series front tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F80 has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Smaller 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are standard on the 911.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the F80’s wheelbase is 8.4 inches longer than on the 911 (104.9 inches vs. 96.5 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the F80 is 4.2 inches wider in the front and 3.9 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the 911.
The F80’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (42.2% to 57.8%) than the 911’s (39.5% to 60.5%). This gives the F80 more stable handling and braking.
The F80’s power window, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The 911’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.
