The F80 has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The MCPura doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The F80’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The MCPura doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The F80’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The MCPura doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the F80 and the MCPura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The F80 comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The MCPura’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The F80’s corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the MCPura’s (unlimited vs. 50,000 miles).

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the F80 for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Maserati doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the MCPura.

The F80’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 563 more horsepower (1184 vs. 621) than the MCPura’s standard 3.0 turbo V6. The F80’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 553 more horsepower (1184 vs. 631) than the MCPura GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6.

Regenerative brakes improve the F80’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The MCPura doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the F80’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The MCPura doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The F80 has almost a gallon more fuel capacity than the MCPura (16.8 vs. 15.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari F80 higher (5 out of 10) than the Maserati MCPura (4). This means the F80 produces up to 5.2 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the MCPura every 15,000 miles.

All wheel drive, available in the F80, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Maserati MCPura is not available with all wheel drive.

For better traction, the F80 has larger tires than the MCPura (F:285/30R20 & R:345/30R21 vs. F:245/35R20 & R:305/30R20).

The F80’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the MCPura’s standard 35 series front tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F80 has standard 21-inch rear wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the MCPura.

The F80 offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Maserati doesn’t offer an active suspension on the MCPura.

The F80’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (42.2% to 57.8%) than the MCPura’s (40% to 60%). This gives the F80 more stable handling and braking.

The F80’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The MCPura has neither an oil pressure gauge nor a temperature gauge.

The F80’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The MCPura’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the F80 offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The MCPura doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The F80’s power mirror controls are mounted on the center console for easy access. The MCPura’s power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.
